Determining and documenting the new procedures and protocols that should be followed as dentists and staff head back to work in the post-pandemic environment is no easy task. As a good friend to Seattle Study Club, Dr Ariel Raigrodski was gracious enough to allow us to publish his manual, which includes both his original material and contributions from others.
As a little girl growing up in an extended Indian family in the African nation of Zambia (formerly Rhodesia), Dr Anita Madhav learned the importance of sharing and caring from her father. The oldest of several siblings, her dad always looked after his family and friends and passed on the same values to his children.
Growing up in a small neighborhood in Trinidad, Dr Jason Warner found himself initially drawn to dentistry following his childhood orthodontic experience. Local dental school, followed by a stint in Manchester, England to earn his master’s degree, were all steps on the path toward home, where he opened his endodontics practice 12 years ago.
Here’s an inspiring and moving presentation about Dr Marco Brindis’ patient Gregory Bright, who was convicted of second-degree murder in 1975 based on false testimony and spent almost 28 years in prison before he was exonerated. Watch how Dr Brindis restored Gregory’s smile, using Dr Coachman’s DSD methodology. The spectacular result gave Gregory the confidence to tell his story through the Innocence Project.
I grew up opening all my presents on Christmas Eve and making pierogies at family get-togethers. I knew these traditions came from the Polish side of my family, but the knowledge ended there. My great-great-grandmother immigrated to the United States as a teenager, and she didn’t like to talk about the past. Her husband, my great-great-grandfather, also came from Poland, and they met somewhere in this country. But where, when and how—and exactly where they came from—has always been a mystery.
